Dice Moments of July

- I'm trying to buy matching tracksuits with my best friends. Because we make too much money for friendship bracelets. Mustafa found these tracksuits on the Internet. They were soooooooooo ugly and we wanted to get them. But we lost the link. So if you see me, a Muslim, and Sharon traipsing over DC in Members Only tracksuits, say hi and don't hide from us!

- "Roadhouse" was on Univision last night. I watched all of it and I'm considering putting a razor blade in my shoe because I work in Wheaton. All you Asian engineers, let me know the mechanics of how this works.

- My office. I'm the youngest person in my office and it's hilarious. People are picking up the slang here and there... my manager who's in his 60s used the word, "turd" in a business meeting. And now, we have Pizza Friday and the 80 year old calls everyone, "dude". To all you young'ns, this is what you have to look forward to.

- Sharon is the best. I love you, dude. And I can't wait to move in with you when we're 40 and single. I promise I'll cook. Don't front like you haven't thought about this yet either.

- My friend is having a birthday soon and I get to DJ it. I'm thinking the theme should be "8th Grade Dance". So tell me what the Number 1 Jam from your 8th grade dance was and I'll include it... unless you're Kyung and the Number 1 Jam from your 8th grade dance was "The Charleston".

- P. Will and Sarah came to town and it ruled. It was so cool seeing you guys again and I really hope everything is going well in the ATL. Thanks again to SB for hosting... I had a great time and was reminded of how much I miss you all.

- No dice: Beyonce tickets are $150... for the cheap seats.

One of my friends was doing a triathalon at Lake Anna, so we decided to go camping to cheer him on.

Things I Learn At Work By Carroll

1. An upwards of 35% of job postings online are not live positions. These are just means for companies to collect resumes.

2. If you don't send a "Thank You" card, you don't want the job.

3. Professional resume writers charge $400/resume. I consider myself para-professional.

4. Research a company before you apply for the job... especially if they're a small "up and coming financial institute" or "government contracting" firm. You'd be surprised on what you can find out in terms of law suits.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand on that note, I've started applying for jobs in Hawaii. I'm seriously considering a move for a year at least and I even have my own moving buddy! But although it's not definite, I'll pursue it for now.
